Visiting Big D

So I thought I would try my hand at water skiing. Lord only knows how many years it has been since I actually did water ski.

Alright I think I remember how to do this. Something about press really hard with your back foot. Close your mouth or you will drink the lake. Pull really hard on the rope.

The warning to those in the front row would be, " You will get wet. This is a splash zone."
This is as far out of the water as I could get before I gave out. I'm not quite as athletic as I used to be. Let's just say I have eaten since then.

This is the swimming gecko that was in my parent's pool. I would scoop him out of the water and he would somehow end up back in the pool.

I wonder if Geico has swimmers insurance for their spokesman?

These ducks were hanging out by the boat slip. Tom thought he would try out the new camera on the ducks. We missed the babies, but mom says they are around somewhere.

Maybe I couldn't get up skiing because it was so damn windy. Just look at the sails on this boat. There were sailboats everywhere on the lake that day.

Not so Yummy!

UMMMMMMM, FOOD!

SMELLS LIKE SLOP!

TASTES EVEN WORSE!

Simpsonizing Myself

The other day my friend Nique sent me a link to a website the would "Simpsonize" your likeness. So I thought I would give it a try.

Here's the original picture...

And here is what I would like if I lived in Springfield with Bart and Lisa and Homer and Marge! DOH.....

And this is Tom in Springfield.

If you want to simpsonize yourself visit this website...

The New Fuji!

We got a new camera this week and thought we would give it a whirl. Tom took these shots of the dogs just to see how the Fuji would do. Looks pretty damn good to me. As we explore the Fuji more, I'll post the latest and greatest photography in Abilene. LOL!

SHUT UP & SING

I just had the chance to watch the documentery on the Dixie Chicks. Let me just say that it truly was a brilliant film. Those three ladies were only standing their ground in support of their beliefs. Everyone knows that I cannot stand Bush, but just like the Chicks I support our troops. Watch the film and you see an entirely new take on just how idioc the American public can be. Especially when they only know one side of the story.

After you watch the film, listen to the album. The music is incredible and has some very strong messages.

Keep going beyond, you never know what's on the other side.
