Three's Company

I have finally decided to try my hand in gardening. I bought this pepper plant and this tomato plant back in March. I had just about given up on the both of them until just last week the pepper plant took off. I thought it was just gonna grow leaves. But guess what, I finally got a pepper. Actually there are three. More to come I hope.
And speaking of three, finally this damn tomato plant has gotten over its growing pains. There are three ROMA tomatoes growing. I honestly had really given up on this damn plant. So I guess putting it out of my mind forced the damn thing to sprout some veggies.
And this is Rupert. I have been dog sitting all weekend. Why is it that puppy teeth are so damn sharp? The damn things hurt. My forearms look like I have been beaten with barbed wire. He's a good little guy though. He had a rough time making friends with my Three dogs. Luey, Lola and Shelby. Lola is just a lover. Once she got over the initial shock of another dog in the house, she has instigates the rough housing.

The little guy doesn't know what to think. I hope he isn't sad when he has to go home. And yes he has to go home. There is no way in hell, I would be allowed to have another dog. These dogs are like children. Hell they are my children what am I talking about. 3, 2, and 1 are their ages. That's enough to drive anyone crazy!

Well Rupert is up from his nap. So I gotta tend to him. We don't want any wet spots on the carpet.

Keep going beyond, you never know what's on the other side.

"Sunday School"

My creative juices have reached a halt when comes to those crazy chicks in the small west Texas town. I'm sure I will get back to them at some point. Give me a week or two to compile some more thoughts about them. I won't let them die just yet. Just consider it a cliff hanger. Same blog time, Same blog channel..........

Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest and worship. But let me introduce you to a new type of "Sunday School". I never knew learning could be interesting and I certainly never thought the TV could be educational.

This morning I want to encourage everyone to start watching CBS Sunday Morning. http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/sunday/main3445.shtml This program is amazing. Talk about some interesting and awesome stuff on tv. And any age can watch it.

Yes, I know it comes on at 8 am on Sunday morning and many of you are heading to church. TIVO IT!!! I never thought I would reach the age where I liked a news program, but this show is great start the week. Charles Osgood and his crew report on some of the most interesting topics. Today's program has already talked about the history of the fork. I just love quirky history like that.

More importantly, Sunday Morning encourages the Arts. They always have a spotlight of some up and coming artist. They always have really cool music. Musicians that aren't so mainstream, but should be.

Today's focus was the Beatles. Yes, they are mainstream but not this take. Actually the focus was on John Lennon. There is a new album called "INSTANT KARMA" and it is a compilation of multiple artists doing there own take on Lennon's classics. More importantly the sales of the album support ending the suffering and killing in Darfur. Take a peek at the website http://www.instantkarma.org/.

Mr. Osgood always closes with his signature tag line "I'll see ya on the radio." So I want to come up with one for this blog. In my original blogs I always tried ending with "Everything but that...", but that really isn't so inspirational.

So let's try this for awhile...

Keep going beyond, you never know what's on the other side.

Introducing Coog

Coog is big time. She complicates life by balancing her "junior league" image at work with her Harley riding-Biker Chick-weekend persona. She's got a couple of offspring that also occupy her time. Rumor has it that the younger men find her to be extremly attractive.

But all in all Coog has huge heart. That's what makes her special. That huge heart also gets her in some pretty funny trouble. And that huge heart is responsible for of course "Everything But That..."

Starting a New Week

What will this week bring to us? There was so much that took place last week at work, you wouldn't believe it. It's almost as if I was a narrator on the latest hot soap opera or prime time melodrama. Maybe the wind has changed directions and all that has blown over.

Today is payroll monday! I might as well change my middle name to KRONOS.

I wonder what Nique did this weekend? I can almost be certain that it was "Everything but that..." Can you imagine the bells that will toll when THAT finally happens. There will be a HUGE celebration in tow. Coffee and crumpets will be most delightful this morning as the group shares weekend episodes. Heck with everything that went on last week, maybe I should just go ahead and start working on pilot episode.

Let's look at plot and the lead characters:

The setting for this web opera will be a small West Texas Town, just big enough to set the scene for some topsy turvy excitement. Well just about as much excitement as the growing pains of a city stuck on I 20 three hours from any where can provide. There's really only two ways out of town to salvation, the interstate or the "freeway." If you escape on this freeway, are you ever really free?

Do these characters remind you of anyone imparticular?

Let's start with Frizz.

She is a twentysomething with HIGH ambitions. This gal loves to party and usually is the life of the party. She brings that breath of fresh air to the group. She's college educated and has seen the world, or some parts of it. Heck, she claims to have plans to see even more of it. She loves men, but can't seem to find THE ONE. Sometimes she can't even find the one shoe. Putting her troubles with men aside, 'cuz we have those, she has a big heart. That's what matters most.

So stayed tuned as we follow Frizz through her daily coming of age tales. What will she get into next? "Everything but that..." I'd bet!

Have you ever been having a conversation that leads those at happy hour in four hundred different directions? Just ask my dear friend Nique about that, or shall I say everything but that...

The count down is on until she departs this wonderful metropolis of Abilene, Texas to become a housekeeper in a German hotel in the Alps. What a great plan for one's life! But hell she is only a wee little lady and needs some wordly experience to fulfill her dreams.

Can you see this princess in some dainty lederhausen making a bed or perhaps dusting the endtable with a feather duster?

She is the reason behind the title of this blog. Over the next month before she jumps the pond, I'll fill you in on the title. We'll talk about the lost shoe, the white ring, flightsuits, and dancing. And of course "Everything but that..."
