Happy Holidays....

Here are some Holiday funnies that I have saved through the years. Hopefully they will bring a laugh to you as they did to me. If not a laugh, maybe a smile at least!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Is it okay to be mad at God?

This past Sunday at church, there was an interesting lesson taught to those who were there. The pastor asked the question, "When is it okay to be mad at God?" What do you think? That to me as a really heavy question. Is there truly an answer? Well, in the middle of the sermon, Mike asked the sound guys to find a video on Dave Busby's website. After watching the video, I think you will find your answer. I added a link to the websites found in my favorite links. The video is on the homepage. It's awesome!

World AIDS Day

Today is World AIDS Day. Please take a moment to think about those that are not only infected but also affected by HIV/ AIDS. I promise you that this disease has touched many people that you don't even know. Research has provided medicine that makes the disease livable, but there has been no cure found.

AIDS is not just a gay man's health issue. It has affected men and women and children of all colors. HIV/ AIDS does not discriminate and neither should you.

Just something to think about on the World AIDS Day 2007.

It's Been an Interesting Week to Say the Least...

This week has not been your typical week in Abilene, Texas. The things that have happened here in West Central Texas have really hit my core. I woke up Sunday morning to find out that a man had been murdered for asking some people to leave his house. I honestly can't believe that asking someone to leave your house is cause enough to think you have the right to kill him. Michael was beaten and stabbed to death at HIS home. The blood stains are still in the street from the senseless act of violence. Rest In Peace Michael. Heaven has another special angel watching over us.

We made a quick trip to Dallas on Tuesday night to take care of some personal matters on Wednesday. It was an awesome trip. Tom and I played Nintendo Wii until almost 1:00 a.m. We are hooked. I think we might give each other that for Christmas. I was completely soaked with sweat when we were done playing tennis. It was quite a site. On Wednesday we went to lunch with mom after we were done with our meeting. Guess where we went? It was Wednesday, and Wednesdays in Dallas are cheap enchilada day at El Fenix. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. YUMMY STUFF!!! Mom got me some El Fenix hot sauce and chips as my birthday present. AWESOME!!! We also spent some time with Teresa and her girls. They were in town for the Hannah Montana show in Fort Worth. Hannah Montana...who would have figured Billy Ray Cyrus's daughter could pull off a smashing success. That girl has got it going on!

I attended the funeral of Michael Myrick on Thursday. It was a graveside service. I bet there were close to 200 people there. We left Abilene and carpooled to the Hawley Cemetery for the service. While at the service I met Chrissie Mouton the news reporter from KTXS. What a weird place to run into her. You see she is good friends with Lisa Spooner. Who is Lisa Spooner? Lisa was Lisa Dalzell before meeting Ron and she also was a Miss Lake O' the Pines who went onto win the Crown of Miss Texas. Anyways, Lisa said Chrissie and I needed to meet since we both live here in Abilene. Well we finally did. She is awesome person. I can't wait to spend more time with her.

Fast Forward to Thursday night and my Ethics class. The topic for tonight's class was "Morality, Marriage, and Human Sexuality." That should tell you enough right there. Long story short, I walked out of the class because I was not shown the same respect that other students in the class were given by the instructor. He allows them to ramble on about an assortment of off the topic conversations rather than teaching the class. When it came my turn to comment on an expressed opinion he made earlier in the class, I was given two sentences worth of time before he started talking over me. He completely dismissed my opinion as not relevant to his discussion and moved on with class. There is one thing in this world that I cannot stand and that is IGNORANCE. And for the 45 minutes that I was in class last night, a majority of the comments were full of ignorance.

And here we are at Friday. Tomorrow is Tom's birthday. I gotta go shopping and get him something. He has to work all day so maybe I could just get it tomorrow. Nah....today would be better.

Until next time. Keep going beyond, you never know what's on the other side.

Something to Think about!!

Came across this story today, and I think it has some good things to say about our concept of God, sin, and evil.

The professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand.

"You're a Christian, aren't you, son?"

"Yes sir," the student says.

"So you believe in God?"

"Absolutely."

"Is God good?"

"Sure! God's good."

"Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?"

"Yes."

"Are you good or evil?"

"The Bible says I'm evil."

The professor grins knowingly. "Aha! The Bible!" He considers for a moment. "Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?"

"Yes sir, I would."

"So you're good...!"

"I wouldn't say that."

"But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't."

The student does not answer, so the professor continues. "He doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even though he prayed to Jesus to heal him. How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can you answer that one?"

The student remains silent.

"No, you can't, can you?" the professor says. He takes a sip of water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.

"Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?"

"Er...yes," the student says.

"Is Satan good?"

The student doesn't hesitate on this one. "No."

"Then where does Satan come from?"

The student falters. "From God"

"That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there evil in this world?"

"Yes, sir."

"Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything, correct?"

"Yes."

"So who created evil?" The professor continued, "If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then
God is evil."

Again, the student has no answer. "Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things, do they exist in this world?"

The student squirms on his feet. "Yes."

"So who created them?"

The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his question. "Who created them?" There is still no answer. Suddenly the lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is mesmerized. "Tell me," he continues onto another student. "Do you believe in Jesus Christ, son?"

The student's voice betrays him and cracks. "Yes, professor, I do."

The old man stops pacing. "Science says you have five senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen Jesus?"

"No sir. I've never seen Him."

"Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?"

"No, sir, I have not."

"Have you ever felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus Christ, or God for that matter?"

"No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't."

"Yet you still believe in him?"

"Yes."

"According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?"

"Nothing," the student replies. "I only have my faith."

"Yes, faith," the professor repeats. "And that is the problem science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith."

The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a question of His own. "Professor, is there such thing as heat?"

"Yes," the professor replies. "There's heat."

"And is there such a thing as cold?"

"Yes, son, there's cold too."

"No sir, there isn't."

The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested. The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain. "You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest -458 degrees."

"Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat. You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it."

There was silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom, sounding like a hammer.

"What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as darkness?"

"Yes," the professor replies without hesitation. "What is night if it isn't darkness?"

"You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to define the word."

"In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?"

The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him. This will be a good semester. "So what point are you making, young man?"

"Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed."

The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time. "Flawed? Can you explain how?"

"You are working on the premise of duality," the student explains. "You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought."

"It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it."

"Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?"

"If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man, yes, of course I do."

"Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?"

The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he realizes where the argument is going. “A very good semester, indeed.”

"Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teachingyour opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a preacher?"

The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the commotion has subsided.

"To continue the point you were making earlier to the other student, let me give you an example of what I mean."

The student looks around the room. "Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor's brain?" The class breaks out into laughter.

"Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt the professor's brain, touched or smelt the professor's brain? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due respect, sir."

"So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?"

Now the room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unreadable.

Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. "I guess you'll have to take them on faith."

"Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with life," The student continues. "Now, sir, is there such a thing as evil?"

Now uncertain, the professor responds, "Of course, there is. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

Just for Stephanni

Okay, it's been a awhile since I posted. So to make Stephanni happy and get her off my case, I'll try to catch everyone up. October has been extremely busy month. Working full time and going to school full time is a bitch I tell ya. I'm too old for all this. I went to Lubbock the first two weekends of the month and tried to catch up on home stuff last weekend. That really didn't happen though. But here are some pics from the Lubbock trips.
Friday when I got to town, mom was taking Ty to the pumpkin patch to take some pictures. I think this one is my favorite of all of them. Check out those blue eyes would ya!
Then Friday night, Natalie and I went to the Bonfire. It was homecoming for Tech. We had a run in with the cops trying to take this picture. It was really comical actually. But it was cool getting to spend Homecoming with Nat on her first Homecoming at Tech.
Saturday morning was a whirlwind I tell ya. Since Nat is pledging Alpha Chi Omega, she was in the parade. We decked Ty out in Red Raider gear and off to the parade we went. In true homecoming parade fashion, I got thrown up on. Long story short....the babies also spit up on me at the parade. I even had a toddler vomit donuts one year. Such the luck!

Mom and I took Ty over to Nat's float. Of course it was nothing more than another photo op. Tech's homecoming theme had something to do with Broadway. Nat's Float was from the play "Monte Python's Spamalot." It actually was a pretty good float.

Tech won the game against Iowa State. More importantly, Tech won the game the following weekend too. Aggie got the butts whooped! 35-7! Wreck' em Tech!! Aggie hasn't won in Lubbock since 1993! Sucks to see the Farmers not show up for the game. In true Aggie fashion, I had to get a picture of the scoreboard. Here's the proof! Long Live the Matador!

This past weekend was hell I tell ya. Boo at the Zoo with over 5000 kids. What a trip! It was fun though. As much as I complain about the event, I really had a good time. I think I am going to just stay home this weekend and chill. Its fall break at school and I think it is Fall Break for Justin too. Other than being Zach's birthday on Saturday nothing much is going on. Hopefully the Raiders can pull out a win for my little bro's b-day.
Until next time.

Chili Cook-off

We went with a Spooky Lab for decorations. It is October after all.

These are all the teams who had a chili in the cookoff.

Harm and Kevin (my boss) trying out the chilis.

This is how we served the four celebrity judges. We had eyeballs all over our table. I found these gummy eyeballs and thought they would make a great presentation for the judges. We even thought about calling the chili "EYEBALL STEW." We changed our minds!

Message from Germany!

Nique finally mass mailed everyone about her first week overseas. Here is what she had to say:

Hello Everyone! I apologize for not sending out this e-mail sooner, but life has been pretty hectic this past week! I'll try to keep this somewhat short, but I do have a lot to tell all of you!First of all, the biggest blessing since I have been here has been the four other people that I came in with, one of which is my roommate, Laura. When I got off of the plane, there were three other girls and one guy that had been waiting with the resort representative until my flight came in (I had a few travel complications due to the weather). All of us clicked almost immediately and have been inseperable since we first got in. Laura is my age and from Kansas. She's just as (if not more) outgoing as I am, and I think that we are going to have a blast together. The accomodations for the staff are really nice. The bathrooms are all very modern and stay amazingly clean. Since there are quite a few people leaving, Laura and I were able to buy a lot of second-hand stuff to furnish our room. The biggest surprise came on Tuesday when we all found out what our jobs were going to be. As most of you probably already know, I'M NOT A HOUSEKEEPER! I will be working in Alpine Adventures, which is the gift shop/activity central. All of the tours, leisure activities, hikes, kids' programs, etc. are run out of our department. Right now they are mainly just exposing me to all of the different facets of the job, so I can get a taste for what I like and don't like. Basically, I will be getting paid to do what I would probably do anyway. Can life get anymore perfect? For my first day of work, I went on the big tour to the Neuschwanstein castle, which is what Disney modeled their signature castle after. Even though the castle itself was beautiful, standing on the Marienbrücke (a steep bridge that goes over the Pollät Gorge) and looking out over the countryside with the castle in the foreground brought tears to my eyes. I felt like I was looking at a life-size post card. On this same tour, we went through various towns in Southern Bavaria, stopping at a little wood-working shop and the Wies pilgrimmage church. On the way back, we swung down through Austria, but due to jet lag and a huge bowl of Käsespätzle (basically really thick macaroni and cheese), I was snoozing during that part. The most frustrating thing has definitely been the language barrier, but I know that will come with time. Every Friday morning, there is a market with fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, and various baked goods. We went this past Friday and enjoyed coffee on the terrace of a small cafe with the Alps as our scenery. That was enough to make any frustrations that I had disappear. We are planning on going to Oktoberfest in Munich this weekend, so I will make sure to write and send pictures after that.Thank you all so much for all of your e-mails, thoughts, and kind words. It has meant so much and been so nice to know that I have all of you thinking about me! I miss you all terribly! For anyone that is interested in coming to visit, I am able to sponsor guests at the resort. Unfortunately, you have to pay full price, and you are only offered the standard rooms, but it would be well worth it. There are also little apartments in the actual village that you can rent out for about 65 Euro/ night. (I removed the mailing address. If you would like it, let me know.) I would love to hear from all of you and know how everyone is doing, so drop me a line when you get the chance!Lots of love from Deutschland,Nique:)P.S. I'm working on setting up an online photo album, as my pictures are too big to send via e-mail. Please bear with me!

As soon as I get the pictures, I will put some of them up!

A New Angel In Heaven

I learned this morning of the passing of a dear friend and certainly a lifelong mentor. My fellow co-worker in Dallas, Martha Dealey went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 10, 2007. Martha was always a source of strength and wisdom. She always knew how to put a smile on your face. As, I sit here in shock at this news, many great memories run through my mind. Martha was always first to let me know what she thought about the latest TCC concert of which I had performed. She always had a sharp opinion, but also let me know that I shined. Now Heaven is shining brighter each night. There's a new star up in the sky. Heaven also has a new angel. I can only imagine how wide the Pearly Gates opened to welcome Martha home. I'll miss our phone chats and her advice.
My heart hurts today. God Bless you Martha.
You will forever be missed, but never forgotten.

A Little Bit of Good and A Little Bit of Bad

Well, I will start with the bad. Softball sucked last night. We lost 9-7. I missed three line shots down third which allowed them to advance the runners. My defense was horrible last night. I did manage to bat okay. I was on base 2 of three times. I shanked a horrible pop fly. Sucked. So now we are 2-2 on the season. .500 is ok I guess, but .1000 would be better.

Now some good news!

I finally got an email from Nique! She still loves me! I had to threaten her though. It shouldn't be that difficult to get an email from a friend! She says she is off tomorrow and will send me a lengthy email as well as some pictures.

In other news, Tom got a job yesterday. He is going to be working at RELICS here in town. He will be helping decorate for the Holidays as well as working the floor some. Thank goodness! Finally he has something to do besides just go to school. I mean 19 hours is a lot of school, but you need a break occasionally. Even if it is work.

I got to talk with an old friend today. My buddy Russell, from Philadelphia sent me an email. Instead of one liners back and forth, he just picked up the phone and called. It was great to hear his voice. I haven't talked to him in quite a while. His says Philly is still the same. I miss Philly. Especially the chicken cheesesteaks from Emmit's on 69th Street. Russell says he is going back to school. I asked what for and he said that he is going after a teaching certificate. That's awesome for him. He is going to teach Food Science or something like that. Right up his alley, considering he is chef. A damn good chef. Those kids don't know how lucky they are to get some of his cooking everyday at lunch.

Mom got tickets today for the Tech vs tamu game. I always love going to that game. Tech seems to step it up a notch for the damn aggies. The last time I was in Lubbock for the game was my 30th birthday. Hopefully, they can pull out another win for my 32nd birthday.

Damn, I am getting old. 32! Shit how time flies!

Another Anniversary

Well, here I sit exactly two years from the date I started a second time at Abilene Regional Medical Center. A lot has happened in those two years. My original boss left to take a CNO job in Livingston, TX. She is now the COO. Way to go Barb! Then I learned I would have two bosses. Tony got here and took over two of the five critical care units. Then came Kevin. He took over the other three. Tony is now gone, less than a year after he got here. So it's just me and Kevin. Well, there is Michael. They say he is the Interim Director over Tony's old units. So I guess it is back to three. ARMC is no longer a Triad facility. In July, CHS purchased Triad. So that merger is currently being implemented throughout the hospital. Hopefully, that will go smoothly.

Yesterday was the sixth anniversary of the attacks on our country. Do you remember where you were when you heard about the Towers? I was sitting at my computer checking email and I got an instant message from a buddy that said the World Trade Center was on fire. I thought he was joking until I turned on the TV. Hitting the power button on the remote that morning, forever changed my life. It changed life for everyone. I knew that my roommate from Disney was now with the NYPD. Last I had heard his assignment was at the WTC. I worried all day. I couldn't get in touch with any one in his family. I couldn't get in touch with him either. It was about 5:30 that evening when I finally heard from his dad that he was okay. Whew! A sigh of relief.

Another worry I had was our Current Miss Texas, Stacy James, was in Atlantic City getting ready for the Miss America pageant. What was going on with her? Would they still have the pageant? Yes, they did. She was fine and called to say she was kinda shook up but that she was okay.

Fast forward six years. You know what my worry was yesterday. I was a bit upset that Nique hadn't sent me a damn email yet. It seems she has been emailing others, but why not me? I guess I shouldn't get in a twirl about it too much. There are bigger problems in the world. Right?

I guess I should just be thankful that she made it Germany safely and that she seems to think she made the right decision to head overseas. I conclude my emails to her with "My Heart Hurts!" But today I guess it is happy for her. It won't truly be happy until she is back in the States. I mean what's a guy to do without one of his best friends? Not much I can do with an ocean between the two of us. Maybe sometime in the next 13 months I can take a short jump across the "POND" and visit Deutschland.

I think I have finally decided what to do for my DIFFA jacket this year. It seams that the theme is "Le Cinema de Vie." Something to do with classic movies and the Hollywood glitz and glam! I have decided to bleach out the dark blue denim coat. It doesn't have to be solid white, but certainly lighter than the deep navy that it currently is. After that I am going to dye the coat pink. I also have some pieces of denim that I am going to dye as well. Now that the base of the coat will be pink, I may paint some other pink swirls or marbleized looking texture to it. I am certainly going to paint the pieces of denim pink. The pieces will then be shaped in to a huge bow for the bottom of the back of the jacket. The actual jacket will be scattered with AB rhinestones. If I can manage to get my hands on some pink fox tails, I might add them. But the over all look I am going for is Marilyn in the pink dress from "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes." So we will see how it goes. I will post a pic of the jacket before and after.

That's all I got for ya right now. Until next time.

Unexpected Surprise!!!

Surprise!!! You have been selected to receive the ARMC Auxiliary Scholarship. No Crap!

I got an email today stating I was getting $400 bucks for school. Damn, I actually forgot that I had applied for the scholarship. I guess it actually does pay to fill out the applications. The email stated that I am eligible for $400 the next two years as long as I have a GPA of 2.5. I think I should be able to do that.

Obviously, I survived that Nutrition test. I wasn't as hard as I thought it might be. Thank goodness for the practice tests on the book's website. I will make certain to do those for every chapter from now on. The only thing that concerned me about the exam was the fact the professor wasn't there. She had a proctor to administer the test. Not very bright in my book. If I am paying almost $1600 for this class, I would like the professor there to answer any last minute questions I might have. I guess I can't have everything. Oh Well!

She's Landed!!

Well, I just got an update to my Facebook account. Nique is in Germany. She said her flight plans were changed slighty. But I didn't get any more details. I'm glad to know that she has made it safely to her new home. now I can't wait to hear what wild stories she will have to tell. I can only imagine.

I am still trying to get ready for this nutrition test. We'll see how that goes tonight. Not really sure what it is I needed to have studied. Her notes aren't all that great.

auf Wiedersehen, Nique!

Well, I just got off the phone with Nique. She was sitting in the airport in Amarillo. She's got a heck of a travel plan ahead of her today. Amarillo to Dallas. Dallas to Chicago. Chicago to Munich. Munich to the Edelweiss Lodge. The last leg of the trip is by car. Two hours or something close. She says she will email when she gets there. Hopefully her travels go smoothly. I asked if she got First class. She said no. So I asked about Business Class. Again NO! "Economy," she says!

In other news, Tech won last night. First game at home. 2-0 on the season. GUNS UP!! Can't wait for October 13. The aggies come to town. Always a big party and one helluva game! Wreck'em Tech!

I have my first exam tomorrow. Nutrition. So I need to quit jacking around and study. Four chapters. I am having a slight case of deja vu with this class. It reminds me a lot of A & P last semester. Anything but A & P please!!!

Softball & School

Well, I have managed to survive three weeks of softball and two weeks of school. Playing softball for the first time in 5 years really takes a toll on your body. I think my muscles and bones are finally getting over the shock of doing more exercise than they have in quite some time. Our team is doing pretty well. We recovered this week from a 30-9 butt whooping last week. We won the game in the last inning with a two run shot over the right field fence. 21-20 was the final. We opened the season with a pretty good showing 15-2. So that leaves us 2-1 on the season. Not bad considering we are playing in the Rec 1 division of Co-Ed. Rec 1 is the most competitive division.

As far as school goes, life at ACU is pretty different. But all in all I think it will turn out to be a great decision. The classes seem to be shaping up to be pretty interesting. Nutrition is prolly going to be the hardest class. It seems that it is a little more than discussing what is good to eat. It's a good thing that I paid attention in A&P at least some of the time. My Poli Sci class is going to be a lot of fun. I was a little hesitant about it last week, but after Tuesday night, I think I will like it just fine. My Ethics class will be the most interesting. I can't wait for some of the discussions that will present themselves as the semester continues. I'll keep you up to date on my progress as the semester continues.

Keep going beyond, you never know what's on the other side.

A WELL NEEDED BREAK

Well Labor Day Weekend wasn't lost all together. Even though I had to go to school on Monday, we managed to have a little fun. After spending all evening Friday and all day Saturday helping Mom and Joe unpack and set up house in their new home, we were all ready for some well deserved fun. So we headed to the lake for a couple of hours...Yeah right! We ended up being out there all day. But we had earned a day of fun. My parents long time friends Brenda and Tony met us out there with their jetski. Below are some pictures of our spins on the water.
Here's Joe giving me some quick driving instructions before hitting the gas. Oh and that's my mom giving me some back seat driver hints as well.

I knew hearing all three of my names meant I would be in big trouble, but honestly it only meant one thing to mean...FULL THROTTLE ahead.

Okay, I'll slow down a little.

"Justin, you let me off right now. Then you can be as wild as you want too. You are scaring me to death." I heard that several times as we caught a little air crossing the wake.

I decided I had better let her 0ff while I was still alive.

"Wooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!"

Brenda stylin in the boat!

Now it's Joe's turn to drive.

I guess he can do what he wants. He's the one that has to live with her.

He obviously let her get back in the boat as well!
Go Speed Racer, Go!

Joe actually had several unsuccessful tries at soaking those of us in the boat.

Brenda is just a speed demon. She doesn't like getting air!

"Anybody else want to ride?"

Speedy Gonzales!
Tony tried to soak us in the boat too. TRIED... is the key word there!

Postcard view from Lake Ray Hubbard.

Joe waiting for us to return from Bass Pro Shop. That place rocks!

Looking from the inside the boat at the boat slip.

Packing up and ready to go home. I have a three hour drive to Abilene ahead of me.
